"They're already setting the stage for creating the false flag to justify that, create a provocation that Iran will retaliate, hit a U.S. ship, and then Trump gets to go back to Congress and say, look, we've been attacked, this is something new. So we're not back on the 60-day clock of the War Powers Act, we get to start a new 60-day clock."
Larry Johnson claimed the Trump administration is orchestrating a provocation designed to trigger Iranian retaliation against a U.S. naval vessel, allowing Trump to restart the War Powers Act clock with a fresh 60-day military authorization from Congress. Johnson suggested the attack would be framed as unprovoked Iranian aggression, enabling expanded military operations after Trump's planned China trip.
