Lindsay Accuses JD Vance of Promoting Monarchist Vision for America's Future

What was said

"The vision that they are aiming for looks something like the book called regime change published by Patrick Denine in 2023 which JD Vance has sat alongside Denine and promoted this book with him and endorsed this book. That's what regime change calls for is a monarchy combined with a limited aristocracy combined with limited republican democracy and a new economic system in particular that is based on ordering the society and the economy for what they call the common good."

James Lindsay directly linked Vice President JD Vance to a book advocating for replacing American democracy with a monarchist-aristocratic system. Lindsay stated Vance has publicly promoted and endorsed Patrick Deneen's 2023 book 'Regime Change,' which calls for monarchy, limited aristocracy, limited republican democracy, and a collectivist economic order. Lindsay expressed uncertainty about where Vance stands on this vision, describing it as a fundamental transformation of the American experiment away from its constitutional foundations.
