Colorado Democrat congressional candidate blamed America for 9/11 terrorist attacks

What was said

"Do you believe that the 9/11 terrorist attacks on America were the inevitable consequence of American foreign policy? Inevitable in the sense that we destabilized a lot of the Middle East, um, that forced people to believe that another act of violence was the only response."

Avelia Quiroz, a socialist Democrat who won a congressional primary in Colorado, stated in video footage that the 9/11 terrorist attacks were an inevitable consequence of American foreign policy in the Middle East. She argued that American destabilization forced people to believe violence was the only response. The candidate has advocated for seizing the means of production and abolishing police, prisons, and borders.
