Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps closed the U.S.-backed Omani shipping corridor in the Strait of Hormuz using speedboat patrols, forcing all vessels to use the IRGC-controlled lane instead. The action came after the IRGC issued radio warnings threatening to attack ships that did not comply, and follows Trump's statements about resuming pressure on Iran after the Ayatollah's funeral.
