"Your claim that you're abusive stepfather forced you to kill a man when you were seven years old is you've ever killed. Well, I would say as a as a child, yes. I mean, um, without question. But I've been in other situations where, you know, possibly people or persons died uh, as a result of me defending myself and other countries."
Victor Markx, the Republican nominee for Colorado governor, told a local reporter that his father forced him to kill a man when he was seven years old and refused to clarify whether he's killed people as an adult. He also claimed to have led military strikes against terrorists despite never serving in combat and possibly serving under a different name. The interview went viral on TikTok after Markx called questions about killing people "odd" despite frequently discussing the necessity of killing in previous media appearances.
