Mario Woods, former USAF security police officer, describes encountering a massive spherical craft hovering directly over a nuclear missile blast door at Ellsworth Air Force Base in November 1977. The object, which he estimates was the size of a Super Walmart, appeared to have a plasma-like surface and was positioned exactly over the missile's launch point. Woods was responding to an alarm at the site when the encounter occurred, making this an on-duty military incident rather than a civilian sighting.
