What was said
"I'm told by my reliable sources that it was just an attempt to kill Zelensky and a plot was discovered by the SBU. That's the Ukrainian secret police, with the help, I assume, of MI6, which is heavily represented in the headquarters. To kill Zelensky, and this has failed. And 7 people were rounded up and promptly shot who apparently were part of this attempt."
Colonel MacGregor revealed insider information about a failed assassination attempt against Ukrainian President Zelensky by his own government officials. At least one Ukrainian intelligence officer was among seven people allegedly executed after the plot was discovered, reflecting internal despair within Ukraine's leadership over the war's trajectory and Zelensky's refusal to hold elections.
