Professor Zhang, an academic game theorist, predicted the United States will deploy ground forces to Iran between December 2024 and March 2025 despite the current memorandum of understanding. He argued America cannot withdraw without allowing Iran to dominate the Middle East and threaten the dollar recycling system that supports the AI economy, leaving the US strategically trapped.
