How UFC Star Ben Askren Cheated Death - #1116
What was said
"I'm wrestling next month. When they told me they're coming to my hometown on my birthday, I said, okay, I got to get out there and I got to make it happen."
Less than one year after receiving a double lung transplant and being unconscious for over a month, Askren announced he will compete in a wrestling match in his hometown. He framed the decision as fulfilling his life goal of supporting professional wrestling in America despite the physical risks involved with his compromised immune system.
