Pompliano disclosed he appeared in the Jeffrey Epstein document release after someone impersonating him sent extortion emails to Epstein's brother Mark demanding $10,000 and claiming to be an Iranian Revolutionary Guard informant. The emails used Pompliano's name but a fake email address and threatened Mark Epstein with exposure. Pompliano stated he never met Jeffrey Epstein and only learned of him years before his arrest.
