Maxwell Claims Leaders Must See More, Farther, and Before Others See
Ed Mylett Show
John Maxwell's #4 Law of Leadership: The Law of Navigation
"A leader is one who sees more than others see. A leader is one who sees farther than others see. A leader is one who sees before others see. It's not an IQ issue. It's not that they're smarter. It's just the fact that they have leadership within them and they sense a need before others sense a need."
John Maxwell outlined three defining characteristics of leadership vision during a teaching on the Law of Navigation. He emphasized that effective leaders possess an ability to sense opportunities and needs ahead of others, not due to higher intelligence but due to innate leadership qualities. This contradicts conventional views that leadership effectiveness is primarily intelligence-based.
