The $800 million Obama Presidential Center opened in Chicago after seizing 20 acres of public parkland while staff earning up to $750,000 deliver land acknowledgments to Potawatomi tribes. The same tribe massacred dozens of American settlers including women and children at Fort Dearborn in 1812, commemorated on Chicago's flag, yet receives honorary recognition at the temple opening.
