Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and the Russian Duma announced massive and violent retaliation is coming after Ukraine launched over 500 drones targeting Moscow and other Russian cities. The attack hit oil refineries, civilian infrastructure, and apartment complexes, with at least 17 wounded and black smoke covering Moscow for hours. Dave DeCamp from Antiwar.com noted this increases pressure on Putin to escalate with possible Oreshnik hypersonic missile strikes on underground NATO command centers in Kyiv.
