Hakeem Jeffries Humiliated as Ron DeSantis' Hakeem Impression Goes Viral
"These two districts that were minority-majority, essentially Louisiana had drawn up districts and then they were told in a legal battle that they had not represented Black and minority voters sufficiently. They went back and drew a second district, so they had two of these minority-majority districts. Well, then non-Black voters sued and said, this is now violating our rights, our rights on the basis of race."
The Supreme Court granted Louisiana's request to fast-track a judgment blocking race-based redistricting, ruling 6-3 that the state cannot redistrict based on race. The decision could impact the midterm elections and represents a major shift toward colorblind redistricting policies.
