What was said
"Marriage in its nature is the union between a man and a woman for the purpose of procreation. According to nature."
Conservative commentator Michael Knowles stated his categorical opposition to recognizing same-sex marriage as legitimate marriage, arguing it contradicts natural law and the fundamental nature of the institution. He compared the impossibility of gay marriage to geometric contradictions like circles being squares. This position represents continued resistance within conservative media to LGBTQ rights despite widespread legal recognition of same-sex marriage.
