A bill sponsored by New York State Senator Luis Sepúlveda would eliminate the words 'mother' and 'father' from state child custody, parental, and educational laws, replacing them with gender-neutral terms. The legislation has been sent to Governor Kathy Hochul for consideration. Critics called it 'woke culture run amok' and unnecessary political correctness.
