"Everyone from Truman on down knew that what we found, had found, was not of this world within 24 hours of our finding it."
Whitley Strieber revealed that General Art Exon, former commanding officer at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, told him in 1988 that President Truman and top officials immediately knew the Roswell wreckage was extraterrestrial. Exon claimed he held a body bag containing an alien corpse and that General Twining saw the bodies directly. Strieber's uncle, an Air Force intelligence officer at Wright Field, corroborated examining Roswell debris.
