Intelligence Community Classified Entire Branches of Physics to Suppress Technology

What was said

"Mark Andreesen was talking about AI and somebody in the White House said, we're going to declassify some of this. And Mark Andreesen's like, how are you going to classify basic— like, this is mathematics, you can't classify mathematics. And whoever he was talking to at the White House said, we absolutely can, we've classified whole areas of physics."

Ryan cited Marc Andreessen's account of White House officials admitting the government has classified entire fields of physics and mathematics to control technological development. This suggests advanced scientific knowledge exists but is deliberately withheld from public research communities, potentially explaining technological gaps between classified and civilian sectors.
