"When I was a hated reality star, I got so many death threats. I had so much security and police, and what did they tell me to do? Get a gun. My wife got a gun. And then we needed CCWs. The only people that supported a CCW was the Republican. That was what I aligned with— my safety, my personal safety, my family's safety."
Los Angeles mayoral candidate Spencer Pratt explained on camera that he registered as a Republican specifically because only Republicans supported concealed carry permits when he faced death threats as a reality TV star. The revelation comes as Pratt runs in a city where Trump lost 70-28 to Harris, making his GOP affiliation potentially damaging to his campaign.
