Debater Claims Trump Showed Fascist Intent on January 6th Riot

DEBATE: Andrew Wilson V. PaulsEgo | Is Trump a Fascist?
"It changed for me on January 6th. I stopped using that rhetoric and I started considering the fact that maybe there was fascism afoot here. It kind of felt like an attempted brownshirt kind of, you know, let's subvert the democratic process at the last second and, you know, physically coerce the Vice President of the United States to decertify an election."
In a Modern Day Debate discussion, left-wing debater Paul argued that January 6th represented a fascistic action, comparing it to historical brownshirt tactics. While acknowledging Trump may not meet all technical criteria for fascism, Paul contended the Capitol riot shifted his view on whether fascist ambitions were present in Trump's movement, marking it as a dangerous escalation in American political violence.
