MIT Researcher Claims Autistic Children May Be Advanced Players in Simulation
The Why Files
The Basement: Rizwan Virk | The Simulation Hypothesis, Quantum Physics & Mysticism
"What if the rest of us are in the full body suit of the video game and we have the headset on, and all we see is this first-person perspective? But if I was half in or half out, or if I was sitting there with a mouse, I can move my character around, I could point at things, but it's going to be really hard. But I can see stuff from a third-person point of view that you can't see."
Virk proposes that nonverbal autistic children who demonstrate telepathic abilities and savant capabilities may actually be more advanced consciousness players with partial access to the simulation's source code. He argues their physical limitations might represent being 'half in, half out' of full immersion, giving them access to information databases and perspectives unavailable to fully immersed players.
