"They drilled down to get to the plane, they went through ice cores. I talked to the guy who did the drilling, went down there to get to the plane. The planes were 263 feet below the surface. That's 5.5 feet a year. There are many hundreds of layers above the airplane."
Kent Hovind cited his personal investigation of World War II aircraft buried in Greenland ice, claiming the presence of hundreds of layers above planes buried for only 48 years proves ice core dating methods are fundamentally flawed. He argued this refutes claims that ice layers represent annual rings spanning hundreds of thousands of years.
