What was said

"So there's new evidence that um post probiotic, excuse me, post antibiotic, there are mutations in acromancia that essentially are overexpressed. Okay? So you go on a probiotic, you wipe out your microbiome, some bacteria survive. The one the acromancia that does survive, they tend to get mutations. Those mutations are detrimental."

Guest Joel Green claims there is “new evidence” that after a course of antibiotics, surviving Akkermansia may acquire mutations and become overrepresented as the microbiome repopulates, which he alleges can be harmful. He argues this could, in some cases, support a short, targeted approach to “reseeding” the microbiome rather than focusing on daily feeding of the existing population.
