AJ Gentile suggests UAP “disclosure” can serve defence-contractor interests or distract the public

"if you're Lockheed or Ratheon working on some high-tech stuff, dumping some UFO videos would be really useful. Would be really useful. Or if you're in a time of relative peace and you're a military contractor and you want to keep the dollars flowing, you start scaring people about that we can't control our skies."

Asked about recent UAP disclosures, AJ Gentile suggests releasing UFO videos could be useful to defence contractors by muddying the waters around advanced programmes or encouraging spending to address perceived threats. He says he does not expect official video releases to provide “anything of value”, while adding that a minority of incidents appear hard to explain.
