Colin Kaepernick recalls being tied to a tree aged eight

What was said

"“I go up to them to to see what they're doing and they grab me, tie me to a rose tree, um, call me a [ __ ] in the process.”"

Colin Kaepernick recalls an incident he says happened when he was eight in Turlock, California, when children grabbed him, tied him to a rose tree and used a racial slur. He says they stopped only after a neighbour drove past and asked what they were doing, but did not stop the car.
