What was said
"So Ellie Shirazi um who was the hostage um or one of the hostages, of course. Um when that book was on sale, not a single UK publisher wanted to buy it."
Oliver Malcolm claims no UK publisher would acquire a book he links to Ellie Shirazi, whom he describes as a hostage taken on 7 October. He says a small independent publisher later took it on, and argues the episode reflects ideological bias in parts of UK publishing.
