Kyle MacLachlan says he spoke with David Lynch about a week before Lynch died

What was said

"We'd spoken like a week earlier I think with Laura Durn because a lot of times Laura and I would go we'd pop by and we'd sit you know on his back porch and we kind of just talked about stuff and reminisce and he was always like now I've got this idea you know and I think we can do it you know we were always trying to figure out a way to do the next thing you know and suddenly that just stopped."

Kyle MacLachlan says that while he was writing his memoir he learned that David Lynch had died, and that he had spoken with Lynch about a week earlier, including during a visit with Laura Dern. MacLachlan says Lynch was still discussing new ideas and possible next projects, and describes the death as an abruptly ended creative relationship.
