Armstrong says Coinbase launched tokenised stocks abroad, seeks SEC approval

"We just announced um our tokenized stocks product uh which is only available outside the US right now unfortunately but we're working with um the SEC and others to get it a path to do it in the US. Um but it's the first truly tokenized stock product."

Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong says the firm has announced a tokenised stocks product available only outside the US, and that it is working with the Securities and Exchange Commission and other regulators to offer it domestically. He says the tokens represent actual securities held one-for-one in custody, not synthetic products.
