"There are countries uh the country of my own ancestors Ireland they put in their constitution that you can have marriage between two people of the same sex. I say this is this is a heresy not only uh against the faith what the scriptures teach us but against reason itself."
Cardinal Raymond Leo Burke says Ireland’s constitutional recognition of same-sex marriage is “a heresy”. He argues it goes against scripture and “reason itself”, while criticising what he calls a “homosexual agenda” and aspects of transgender healthcare.
