And especially your father, like he would walk by a new painting for months and not say anything because he didn't notice.""
Dr Angela Duckworth recalls her mother saying she painted in brief moments while raising a family, but her work often went unremarked at home, especially by Duckworth’s father. Duckworth adds that her family did not regularly engage with art, such as visiting museums.
