Explorer Blacklisted from Egypt for Publishing Lost Labyrinth Scans | Louis De Cordier
"This was in uh March, early March of this year. Yes. Oh, so you've been back? Yeah, I was back and I I went back again. But at that time they started excavating and they are still excavating and was complete shock."
De Cordier says he learned in early March that Egyptian authorities had begun excavating at Hawara after draining parts of the site, despite his own team’s proposed preservation-led plan. He describes the work as a “properly done archaeological mission” by Egyptian officials and says the digging had reached the first levels of masonry walls at the time of recording.
