Love Island's Simba opens up about his mum...
"“When I was about 9 years old, my mum got diagnosed with motor neurone disease. Like, her decline, like, health-wise was— it was very quick.”"
Simba says his mum was diagnosed with motor neurone disease when he was about nine, and recalls that her health declined very quickly. He says that by around six months after tests and the diagnosis, she was already in a wheelchair, and that she communicates via an eye gaze. He also says he’s not sure when he last had a conversation with her, estimating maybe nine or even eight, and describes feeling conflicted at that age—loving his mum while also wanting to be like everyone else at school.
