What was said
""I had a heretic. I had one of Chsky's followers who was Brazilian write to the Brazilian Indian Agency which is where I get my authorization to visit these tribes and say this Dan Everett guy he's a racist.""
Everett alleges a Brazilian follower of Chomsky contacted Brazil's Indigenous affairs agency to accuse him of racism, in a bid to undermine his authorisation to visit the Pirahã. He argues the charge was an attempt to weaponise institutional processes during a scholarly dispute.
