Flock CEO on Catching Bad Cops: “It’s a Ton. It’s More Than I Ever Would’ve Hoped.”
"Yeah. It's a ton. It's more than I ever would've hoped. And so we now are requiring that as a mandatory, it's not even a default, it's a mandatory feature you have to have turned on. We have to find these bad cops and get rid of them."
Flock Safety CEO Garrett Langley says the company has made an anti-abuse feature mandatory on its police surveillance-camera system, after what he describes as significant recent instances of officer misuse. In the clip, Langley gives an example of suspected misuse as repeated searches for the same person’s vehicle plate day after day, which he says is abnormal compared with a legitimate investigation where a plate would be placed on a department-wide alert list.
