Ex-progressive activist says street-harassment debate stalled over race and policing

Sabrina Joyce Stevens, a former progressive activist and organiser, recalls internal discussions in Washington, DC about addressing street harassment where she says activists concluded the behaviour was disproportionately coming from black men. She says the issue then became politically inconvenient for white women to raise and difficult to reconcile with anti-policing politics, leading the campaign to "fizzle out" without a resolution.
