"And I said, hey, sir, you know, I've got a hearing waiver currently in to go Green to Gold. I want to come back, be an officer, lead Rangers. And he's like, okay, and went down the line. I come back in our community mailroom, postmarked maybe a week after that engagement. the waiver got approved. I'd been waiting for it for months."
Recounting events shortly after the Haditha Dam fighting, the guest says personnel from a Counterterrorism Command element visited his unit, including a “two star general”. He says he raised his stalled hearing waiver request with the general and that the waiver approval arrived about a week later after months of waiting, adding he cannot be sure if the timing was connected.
