"Camp Mark Lee got hit with mortar. got with hit with a mortar like in our compound and it blew holes into our water tank and luckily, thank God. I mean, it could have if it would have hit one cuz we were in tents."
Jocko Willink says Camp Mark Lee was hit by mortar fire during his time deployed, including a round that blew holes in a large water tank inside his compound. He says the impact could have caused mass casualties had it struck nearby tents, and adds that Seabees procured a replacement tank.
