Greene says AI’s power concentrated in a handful of firms risks instability
Diary of a CEO
Top Scientist REVEALS: We Invented Heaven, God Is A Human Invention! | Prof Brian Greene
"There only are a handful of companies and a handful of people. Putting that kind of power in such a small number of hands has historically, not with AI, but with other power structures, not always turned out well. And so, yes, I think there is a chance that there's an instability that the power of these kind of artificial systems may generate."
Greene argues that the current AI race is dominated by “a handful of companies” and individuals, which he says could create political and social instability. He frames the risk as structural rather than a question of AI systems being inherently “evil”.
