In an audience Q&A, Peterson responds to a questioner who says their teenage brother “has come out as a woman” and that they refuse to use the new name. Peterson advises against what he calls “toxic compassion” and urges the questioner to orient their actions around a long-term vision of a good sibling relationship rather than complying “in the moment”.
