Strictly Come Dancing professional Karen Hauer recalls performing a Remembrance Day routine shortly before a relationship ended, saying the story of a partner coming “in and out” of her life on stage mirrored what she was living off camera. She adds that with only “one or two takes” in front of an audience, she relied on personal experience to access the emotion needed for the performance.
