Asked to explain the New Orleans Saints’ ‘Bountygate’ scandal, Shockey says he had seen money pools on every team he played for, including in college, rewarding big hits, forced fumbles, interceptions and touchdowns. He says he did not think such practices were illegal and suggests the Saints’ case was treated similarly to standard incentive culture, while adding he was not in defensive meeting rooms.
