Jim Otvos, founder of Liposcience and developer of NMR-based lipoprotein testing, says the Vanta NMR analysers used for LabCorp’s NMR LipoProfile are ageing and could stop working. He argues the field needs an in‑vitro diagnostics (IVD) company to take on the technology so NMR-based assays can continue and scale beyond LabCorp’s current footprint.
