Alexander describes approaching the Strategic Defense Initiative (SDI) organisation about transitioning an inter-agency UFO effort into a formally funded programme. He says SDI’s commander, Gen Abrahamson, declined, despite showing interest in using space-monitoring systems to search for specific signatures, because association with UFOs would damage credibility.
