"I thought it was a joke. I got a text message saying Scott, it's Governor Newsom, would you consider going on the Board of the Regents of the University of California?"
Scott Galloway says California governor Gavin Newsom contacted him directly by text to ask whether he would join the University of California Board of Regents, and that he initially assumed the message was a prank. Galloway adds he has not previously been through a confirmation process and says serving UC is “the only board” he has wanted, citing the system’s role in his own career and the public funding behind it.
