Trump Insists IRAN WAR POPULAR: Polls Say Otherwise
"Washington Post poll. Trump's Iran war net approval rating in early March. Look at this. It was way down there at minus 13 points. Very rare for a war to start off underwater on the net approval. That is approval minus disapproval. But look at how far down we are now. Right into the Red Sea. 40 points underwater according to the Washington Post poll."
Breaking Points hosts dispute Donald Trump’s claim that Americans are “not against the war”, pointing to polling they attribute to CNN’s Harry Enten and outlets including The Washington Post. They cite figures including a reported net approval of -40 for Trump’s handling of the Iran war, and say 68% of Americans view the war as “not worth it”, including 77% of independents and 63% of GOP-leaning independents.
