Your Mom's House
Airtight Poker Night w/ Steph Tolev | Your Mom's House Ep. 869
"He goes, "Oh, I stopped flying." And I go, "This is an instructor." And I go, "What do you mean you stop flying?" He goes, "I don't fly anymore." And I go, "Why?" He goes, you know, I have like my circle of friends from that world and I just had so many conversations of like, you know, so and so, yeah, they died. You know, so and so he died and she died and he's like, it just became too many."
Tom Segura says he previously took helicopter lessons in Los Angeles and later bumped into a former instructor from the same school who told him he had stopped flying. Segura recounts the instructor saying the decision was driven by repeated deaths among people in his aviation circle, which Segura says made him reconsider returning to training.
