Independent testing specialist Scott Smith tells NewsNation he found dioxins/PCBs in Keyport, New Jersey soil at 31 parts per trillion TEQ, which he says is above the US EPA trigger threshold of 4.8 ppt for follow-up testing. The segment reports local residents linking a nearby decades-old landfill to an alleged cancer cluster, while the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) says its data does not show a clear exposure pathway despite historical detection of multiple toxins.
