Utah Police Had No Security Plan for Charlie Kirk Event Before Shooting
Reality Check with Ross Coulthart
Charlie Kirk's widow faces his alleged killer in court | Jesse Weber Live Full Show
"And as far as you know, were there any drones that were flying above campus that day? Not that I know of. And did anyone ever talk to you about covering anything near or on top of or in the Low C building? Were you ever assigned that area before the shooting? No. Do you know who was? I don't. And when you got up to the roof that afternoon, was anybody around that was law enforcement? No. Nobody on the roof? No. Nobody on the stairway? Nope. Nobody on the walkway? Nope."
A Utah police officer testified at Tyler Robinson's preliminary hearing that law enforcement had virtually no security measures in place for Charlie Kirk's speaking event at Utah Valley University. There were no drones, no officers monitoring the rooftop where the sniper pad was later found, no briefing, and no coordinated plan—despite the event hosting a high-profile conservative activist. The revelation undermines claims that the shooting was preventable with proper planning.
