"When they say we should tax the rich more, they're telling the majority of wealthy business owners, if you work more hours, you will make less money. Timcast IRL costs me money personally. I would make more money if I did not do it. And a component of that is the tax system."
Pool disclosed that his show Timcast IRL is a financial loss for him personally, partly due to progressive tax rates that disincentivize working extra hours. He argued that proposals to 'tax the rich' primarily hurt small business owners earning a few hundred thousand rather than billionaires, and that the current system actively discourages him from expanding operations or working longer hours.
