What happened in this episode?
In a short, direct-to-camera update, Shawn Ryan addresses controversy on X over his decision not to publish an interview with a guest he identifies as ‘The Leah Files’. Ryan says he withheld the episode because he believed the guest was “a total fraud” and claims the interview did not deliver what she purportedly specialised in, specifically “money trails” and financial tracking. He also criticises the amount of time spent discussing polygraph examinations, saying it made him question whether she had researched how to sound credible.
Ryan says he is releasing the episode now and tells viewers they can “be the judge” of whether the guest is “full of [ __ ] or full of truth”. He adds that he has published two versions, including one on X as “one constant stream of video” with “no cuts” and no camera-angle changes. He says this is intended to address accusations about editing, claiming that nothing was “redacted” and no names were removed.
Ryan also responds to a post he attributes to the guest, saying she used his public LinkedIn profile to list companies he invests in. He defends those investments as public and says many of the companies support the American military, adding that he will continue to back products and firms he believes help troops in combat environments.
